Where to Begin with Fatigue, Apathy and Anxiety

Do you experience fatigue, apathy and a predominantly negative mood throughout the day? Do not rush straight to a specialist. Begin with simple but essential rules for your life.

1. Sleep between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. is the most important. Establish your sleep so that you regularly get enough rest: at least eight hours, including the period from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

2. Exercise. This can be fifteen minutes of morning or evening exercise every day, or more intensive training. It should be regular.

3. A regular eating routine and good-quality food.

4. Communication with people who replenish you. In-person contact at least once or twice a week.

5. Keep gadgets and social media to a minimum. Exclude news.

6. No gadgets or television for an hour before sleep.

7. Fresh air every day in any weather.

8. Find something you enjoy doing, something that brings pleasure. Do it.

9. Tests for haemoglobin, vitamin D, thyroid hormones and a gynaecological check-up.

10. Reduce contact with people you find unpleasant, even if they are close to you.
